Government Information Security Leadership Award (GISLA)

Assurit CEO Awarded Information Security Leadership Award

Assurit CEO, Sunny K. Tuteja, was honored at the 2014 (ISC)² U.S. Government Information Security Leadership Awards (GISLA) Gala as the winner of the GISLA in the Federal Contractor category. The (ISC)² GISLA program has been recognizing the ongoing commitment of individuals whose initiatives in the areas of technology, process/policy or community awareness have led to significant improvements in the security posture of a department, agency or the entire federal government.

With cybersecurity becoming an increasingly prevalent issue in boardrooms across the nation, more cybersecurity companies are surfacing to market their abilities and deliver their solutions. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, an average of 500,000 businesses are opened every year. However, the failure rate in startups is dauntingly high. Overall, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) reports that about 50 percent of new businesses fail within five years. In this feature, our CEO shares some of the values and beliefs that have helped Assurit scale, succeed, and beat those statistics.
