Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Certification

The V3 Program is an official Commonwealth of Virginia Program, authorized under the Code of Virginia (§ 2.2-2001.2). It is organized under the directorate of Veterans Education, Training, and Employment (VETE), within the Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS), an agency of the Secretary of Veterans and Defense Affairs.
“We are extremely proud of our commitment to our nation’s military and honored to be a V3-certifed company. Learning in-depth details through the V3 program about the struggles and bias that veterans face was an emotional and eye-opening experience for our entire team. We resolve to provide our veterans and active-duty military with guidance, support and opportunity during the next phase in their career.”
– Sunny K. Tuteja, President and CEO
Virginia is home to over 725,000 veterans, and with the unique skills and training they received while serving our country, these men and women can be an enormous asset to the employers. Virginia Values Veterans (V3) is an innovative program administered by the Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS) that works with companies and state and local governmental agencies across the Commonwealth to promote the recruitment, hiring, and retention of military veterans in the Virginia workforce. Since its inception in 2012, more than 32,000 veterans have been hired because of the efforts of the V3 Program and its partner employers.
About VETE

Currently, more than 1000 institutions with various programs are approved in Virginia.
