FAIRFAX, Va., May 27, 2026 — Assurit, an award-winning cybersecurity and mission technology firm, today announced it has achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 following an independent assessment conducted by an authorized Certified Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO).

The certification confirms that Assurit successfully met all 110 security requirements of NIST Special Publication 800-171, demonstrating the company’s ability to protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and support Department of Defense (DoD) programs requiring compliance with the Department’s cybersecurity requirements.

The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program was established by the Department of Defense to verify that contractors handling Controlled Unclassified Information implement and maintain the security practices necessary to protect that information throughout the Defense Industrial Base.

By successfully completing an independent C3PAO assessment and satisfying all 110 NIST SP 800-171 requirements, Assurit has demonstrated that its cybersecurity program aligns with the rigorous standards established by the Department of Defense for protecting sensitive defense information.
